Finish your week with restorative yoga, some gentle breathwork and a long yoga nidra to finish. This practice is available to all and will be held at my home studio in Meersbrook.

With space for just 6 people we will be able to tailor the class to you and what's coming up. The focus is on rejuvenation, joy, deep rest, stillness and restoration.

Open and available to all.

£12 for drop in

£10 per class for a block booking of 4. You don’t need to use the classes consecutively and they don’t expire.

These classes incorporate simple breath-work and gentle movement to soften and enliven. These classes provide space to connect with your body, relieve some of the bodily stresses of motherhood and, perhaps, provide some humour and good company too. A great deal of emphasis is on nervous system restoration.

If you are experiencing anything like post natal depression, anxiety, prolapse, diastasis recti or anything else at all then meeting me before class for a 1-to-1 would be highly beneficial so that I can look after you as best I can. Please email me: info@alexnewtonyoga.com to talk more!

ALL babies are welcome - from newborn babies to walking babies.

Practical things:

  • On street parking is available for all venues and you can wheel prams into each space.

  • If your baby cries it’s totally ok - please feel free to tend to them, and you, just as you would at home. These spaces can sometimes be surprisingly relaxing - even with a savasana at the end! And sometimes it’s pure chaos with noisy and grumpy babies. We are here for all of it and it’s all good. xxx

  • Snacks and teas are provided

  • Feel free to bring anything you want for you or your baby including prams, toys etc into the space.

  • Feel free to arrive late or early, flustered, anxious, joyful, knackered! YOU are so welcome. x

A pregnancy yoga class suitable for all those that are pregnant from day 1 of their pregnancy right up until birth.

  • Breathwork for pregnancy, birth and beyond

  • Yoga for Pregnancy

  • Somatic movement to come into contact with ourselves and our emotions

  • Helpful somatic movement and relaxation techniques for birth.

  • Movement to help soothe and strengthen lower back discomfort, upper back tension, pelvic girdle pain (PGP), SPD, shortness of breath, rib pain, tension and anxiety.

  • Yoga nidra for deep relaxation

  • Community and support

Parking is free around the building on a Sunday at Yoga At The Reach and there is ample parking on the street outside my house in Meersbrook. No permit is needed.

A place for everyone to come together.

Come during your pregnancy - from day 1 until birth.

Come back when you’ve had your baby and be in community with those that are pregnant, had their babies very recently, or had their baby many moons ago. Regrettably, as this space is quite small it’s not suitable for babies but it’s perfect for you if you can find some time to yourself x

  • Yoga for Pregnancy and Postpartum

  • Somatic movement to come into contact with ourselves and our emotions

  • Movement to help soothe and strengthen lower back discomfort, upper back tension, pelvic girdle pain (PGP), SPD, shortness of breath, rib pain, tension and anxiety. For overwhelm, frustration, irritability, if you feel touched out, exhausted or very raw and tender.

  • Yoga nidra for deep relaxation

  • Community and support and lots and lots of care.
